Our Story

Samsula Demolition is a family owned company which was incorporated in 2004. We were founded by Yancey McDonald and who is still the acting president. He lived in Volusia County his whole life and his family goes back 3 generations. Being the son of a cattle rancher he was taught the value of hard work. In the early 70’s he began working for a local company where I learned the art of landclearing. His experience led him to create his own company building fence and clearing fire lines. He eventually built that business into Yancey’s Landclearing Inc in 1980. Where he began to performed demolition, site prep and landclearing. The hurricanes in 2004 shifted our primary focus shifted to demolition. That is what led us to where we our today, Samsula Demolition.

The Crew

We strive to be on the cutting edge of the industry using all of the latest equipment. Our team has been educated through experience and the classroom. Taking courses such as asbestos abatement, lead abatement, OSHA, CPR, respiratory and certified operators training. We also make every effort possible to recycle all materials from all of our projects. Right now, our projects have an average recycle rate of 75% with some projects reaching as high as 95%.  Together we have performed all sort of projects ranging from small residential demolitions to large commercial demolitions up to 6 stories. Some of our projects include Halifax Hospital parking garage & helicopter pad, Atlantic Medical Center, New Smyrna Beach High School, Various oceanfront hotels, the former GE buildings at Daytona Speedplex, Embry Riddle library, multiple Daytona State College buildings, projects inside the Kennedy Space Center, Dr Phillips Performing Arts Center, and many more.
